Voices from Baltimore

By: De’asia Ellis

I graduated from Frederick Douglass High School last school year (class of 2016) in Baltimore City and that is one of the main reasons I asked them to help me with this piece. I love the city that I am from, it has helped mold me into who I am today. I want to give students in the city a voice and hope knowing that there are individuals out there who are not giving up. I know how amazing my city is and I am one of the many youth supporters. This started off as a writing project for my writing class and I loved how this came out so I am so happy to share it with others. These are real feelings of students who lives in Baltimore City. (Special thanks to Frederick Douglass high school RAMP program and the students in the video who volunteered to help me I love you guys!!!!)
